My name is QueJohna “Que” Jones and as the woman or man of this house, I insist that you make yourself comfortable.
I am a graduate of the Illustrious Hampton University, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. In 2016, I picked up a camera and started taking photographs of family and friends. Now, more than three years later, that hobby turned business. Noir Eye Photography, has afforded me the opportunity to capture some of my favorite artists in concert as well as memorialize my clients’ milestones.
While I love being behind the camera, I also discovered a new passion. My grandmother passed away Thanksgiving Day 2016 and I inherited her sewing machine. Eager to keep her legacy alive, I taught myself how to sew. Blueprint Effect was birthed at the intersection of grief and love. Through it, I found a way to honor my Nana and create unique garments. I know she would be proud.
In addition to being a self-taught photographer and designer, I also learned how to install faux locs by first doing my own. The final product resulted in countless requests for appointments and later morphed into the third leg of my enterprise. Locs Galore is a business that I view as a labor of love. The services require an extensive amount of time and effort, but I relish in providing quality work. I love seeing my clients’ faces at the conclusion of their appointment.
The overall vision of House of Que J. is to make every client we service look and feel beautiful in their own skin. Whether it’s your hair, garments or photographs, I look forward to taking your look to the next level.
